Just a quick walk away, is Hilton Hawaiian Village with fireworks every Friday evening. The Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon is nearby and perfect for the little ones to play & for you to sun bathe. Located nearby is Ala Moana Beach Park and Magic Island, making the perfect spot to BBQ, exercise, or sun bathe. You'll be happy to have chosen Hawaii as everyday & night you'll often see fantastic rainbows and glorious sunsets from the lanai.

There are so many restaurants nearby that you could go days without leaving the area! But if you are a foodie, there are so many great restaurants on Oahu including : Livestock Tavern, Alan Wongs, Helenas, Ono Seafood, Paina Cafe, etc., Also, don't forget our food trucks, located nearby Ward at the old fishermans wharf location called Makers + Tasters.

Overall

The Ilikai is well placed for the Ala Moana shopping complex, the lagoon and beach. The hotel is older and is an iconic feature of Waikiki. The area around the hotel is probably not quite as busy as those around the central part of Waikiki. The facilities are fine with a nice pool, a convenience store, a coffee shop and a restaurant but there is a walk if you want more choice. Our apartment on the 7th floor had been recently upgraded and had a very nice kitchen and bathroom along with some new furniture. The view over the marina was very restful and afforded a great view of the 4th July fireworks. The only thing that disappointed us was that the two double beds were very soft and the sofa bed, which was fine as a couch, was not well balanced when used as a bed, as it tipped up. This would be something to consider if recommending the unit to others. The managing agent was helpful but was unavailable over the 4th July holiday period.

I booked this Hotel for my family, a party of three, for seven nights, July 5th to July 12th, 2016. I loved everything about this Hotel. The description is accurate. good location, near by shops, restaurants, and short walks to the beach. It is newly Renovated just like it stated. It is very clean and comfortable. The Kitchen is fully stock. I loved the balcony view that facing the Harbor and beach. The Staff are excellent, very friendly and courteous, especially Kelli K. Assistant Manager, every email I have send, she always replied in a timely manner. I would definitely book this Hotel again and will recommend this property to my friends and relatives.
